a lil tot

Itz good to be around really old folks when you’re young. I mean folks so old, if you weren’t so young, you would know they were dying; like grandparents, great grandparents, & great grand Uncles & Aunts.
Why? It kind of like prepares you for responsible adulthood.
How? You get to see your inevitable biological end without a choice not to. As a child you don’t think about it that way; sure. Consciously, you don’t. But that quiet part of your mind does. In itz quiet, seemingly unconscious manner, it appraises it all, from all angles.
If you’ve got the ancient great grandpa & great grandma experience logged in your childhood memoirs, you view your younger cousins & siblings differently; & eventually, your kids too. When teenagehood has ’em stunting, or as young adults fronting, you don’t see ’em as chickens growing wings. You perceive them instead as eaglets who must fly on wings broader than yours, cos it is they who you would have to feed you when your wings grow too feeble to lift you soaring from the nest.
